Sending everyone peace, love and blessings this festive season. As the year draws to an end and everyone settles down to spend much needed quality time with loved ones, this is also a chance to reflect on the year that was.
There was a lot going on in the studio this year in terms of creative energy. A group of talented animators joined in at the studio, a beautiful group of young ladies made stunning bowls and plates at a kitchen tea and there were lots of enthusiastic kids making plates in the various workshops, to name a few.
Among the highlights of the year was The Pottery Fair, hosted by South Peninsula Studio Ceramics, which allowed local as well as artists further up the line to showcase their exquisite ceramic ware. Well- known ceramicist Andrew Walford hosted a workshop, demonstrating his throwing technique and brushwork, as well as exhibited his work at the Grey Gallery at Liebermann Pottery. There were also plate making workshops for kids which allowed their creativity to spark. Thank- you to everyone that joined in and made the day a huge success.
Teaching this year has been a real joy and everyone that sat in the studio brought their own creativity with them. Each and every one is an artist in their own right. Special thanks go out to Mandy Johnston and Nikki Taylor for your support in the studio.
I’d like to wish everyone a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year. It was wonderful being part of the clay and pottery process with all of you. Remember, if you never got a chance to perfect your wheel technique or make that special something you wanted to this year you are more than welcome join in at the studio in the New Year and free your creative spirit.
